Meet Pastor Kristopher Sledge

I was assigned to be pastor of State Line United Methodist Church on July 1, 2015. I come with a deep passion for God and people, and seeing these two intersect in beautiful and redemptive ways.

My roots begin in a small, rural town known as Selinsgrove, PA where I attended Christ Community UMC for most of my childhood. Through a transformative youth ministry experience, I yearned to attend a Christian college. This led me to Messiah College in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania where I received a Bachelor of Arts in Christian Ministries. From that experience, I chose to attend Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington D.C. for my Masters of Divinity degree. A degree I plan to finish May of 2017.

Prior to serving at State Line, I worked for PATH1 for 6-months, a division of the Discipleship Ministries of the United Methodist Church that focuses on church planting and church revitalization. Before that, I served as a Pastor of Young Adults at Fishing Creek Salem United Methodist Church in Etters, PA. And I also have experience working as a pastoral intern at St. Paul's United Methodist Church in State College, PA. During these experiences, my call to ministry was solidified and affirmed by many who I now consider to be lifelong friends.

If you are looking for me on my day off, you could find me enjoying a delicious cup of coffee, reading an enthralling book, kayaking, playing volleyball, traveling the world, or spending time with friends.

State Line United Methodist Church has just recently started to video record Pastor Kris's sermons. As they are posted on FaceBook/Youtube we will try to update the list below also.
